Are you looking for a great place to shop for Pet supplies? Check out this new store!
Are you tired of trying to find good stuff for your pets at the big chains like PetsMart? Would you like to be able to shop at a store where you can get personal attention, help, and advice? The good news is that a new pet store has opened in Columbia that offers all of that!
The name of the store is My Pet Store and More, and it is located at:
This store is located in the old Loyal Companion space, right next to Trek, and can be seen from Snowden River Parkway, but must be accessed from Oakland Mills Rd.
Their web page is https://www.mypetstoreandmore.com/columbia/#
To find out a bit more about the store, I interviewed store manager Chelsea McCauley to learn a bit more about it.
What does your store sell?
We sell mostly dog and cat supplies, ie food, kibble, raw frozen food, gently cooked food , and dehydrated food. We sell all kinds of treats, including specialty dog “cookie” that are made locally. We hav everything else you would expect: toys, grooming supplies, leashes, collars, harnesses, training gear, flea and tick, supplements, beds, crates, blankets.
We do carry some small animal supplies in store but have a wide variety on line that we can order for you.
It sounds like you have pretty much everything a cat of dog owner could need. What sets your store apart from other pet stores besides the service?
The Columbia location will have the 2 dog wash stations up and running soon, with brand new tubs and blow dryers. Washes will be $15 for appointments, $20 for walk ins, and if you make a purchase of anything else the same day we take $5 off the wash. We supply the towels and shampoo and conditioner. (You supply any brushes and combs).
I never thought about taking my dog to a dog wash, but I bet that would be really convenient and probably better for my back. What else makes your store special?
We offer healthy products at low prices and if we don't have what you are looking for, we have several distributors that we can order from.
That is great to know. I am sure as a pet supply business you are interested in helping dogs and cats in our community. Is that a good assumption?
Yes! We partner with local rescues to hold adoption events on Saturdays. We also take donations for local rescues.
Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions Chelsea. I know when I stepped on to the store last week, I was impressed my the selection you had and the brightness, cleanliness and ease of navigating the store. I should also mention that my dogs were absolutely crazy about the cute cookies with peanut butter chips in them that I bought from you. They also loved the new toys I bought them. I encourage all pet owners in the area to check out this store.
